Licensed as an Oregon Broker since 2005. Over the past 2 decades, I’ve been fortunate to experience many facets of the industry and multiple phases and trends in the market. This knowledge and a desire to deliver an exceptional level of service to my clients has defined my career.
I grew up in a family of Realtors. My grandmother and role model, Peggy Gensman, started Metro West Realty in Tualatin, OR at a time prior to female entrepreneurship being the accepted and common occurrence it is today. Our business was founded on sincere and trusting relationships, which has continued to be the most rewarding component of my job. My grandmother’s passion and commitment spread to her daughters, Randi Ausland and Leann Bennett, and eventually on to me.
Although real estate has proven to be an ideally suited career, it was important for me to find my own path. In other words, I was driven to pursue a career outside of the family business. Initially destined for nursing, when I was in college I began renovating homes on the side. It was at this point that I recognized, appreciated and fell in love with Portland’s historic homes and neighborhoods. This experience sparked my interest in architecture, interior design and the restoration process.
My career officially began in 2002 when I started buying and selling investment property, including foreclosed homes. From 2005-2007, I helped develop the Portland territory for The Foreclosure Group LLC, now “Vestus”. My responsibilities included training investors how to navigate buying, renovating and selling property. In 2008, I expanded my business and focused on residential sales in the Portland metro area. By 2010 I had received my Certified EcoBroker license in an effort to gain more knowledge and experience with the growing demand for “green homes”. I also received my Sustainability Training Certification with the Earth Advantage Institute. I’ve found that my clients are increasingly drawn towards making energy efficient and environmentally sensitive choices when buying or selling a home. I’m able to communicate the value and benefits associated with green features, building concepts and trends.
My goal has remained focused on being a comprehensive real estate service for my clients. Whether investment property, acreage in wine country, a classic bungalow or a contemporary urban loft, I have developed the skills and experience to navigate the entire real estate process and help my clients find the ideal location. I pride myself on giving my clients the most accurate and up to date information in today’s market. As the market changes, so do I. With continuing education, constant market research and a passion for construction and design I’m able to keep my clients confidently informed.
I’m privileged to say that this is my dream job. Everyday presents new and exciting challenges. I am dedicated to being thorough, knowledgeable and detail-oriented. My goal is to make the process of buying or selling as easy and fun as possible. Through this approach, I have built lifelong business relationships and friendships with my clients.
I look forward to working together!
